V nedeľu, 2. augusta 2009, si veriaci a občania Pobedima pripomenuli 10. výročie pôsobenia vdp. Mariána Vivodíka v našej obci. Vdp. M. Vivodík prišiel do pobedimskej farnosti ako mladý kňaz 1. augusta 1999 a s mladíckym elánom začal vykonávať dušpastiersku činnosť v Pobedime a vo filiálke Bašovce. Nezanedbávajúc svoje hlavné poslanie sa rozhodujúcou mierou zaslúžil o generálnu opravu farského kostola sv. Michala archanjela a fary, objektov, ktoré patria medzi významné pamiatky nášho regiónu. Okrem toho bol počas jeho doterajšieho účinkovania obnovený kostol v Bašovciach a urobené viaceré úpravy v interiéri oboch kostolov.
Z príležitosti 10. výročia pôsobenia vdp. M. Vivodíka odovzdal správcovi farnosti pamätnú plaketu starosta obce Martin Lednický a za veriacich Pobedima sa poďakovali mladí farníci Michaela Petrášová a Martin Holubec, ktorí mu odovzdali obraz a finančný dar.

Životné jubileum PhDr. Jána Mitošinku

Dňa 29. júla t.r. oslávil významné životné jubileum pobedimský rodák, významný funkcionár zväzu ľadového hokeja, PhDr. Ján Mitošinka . Jubilant sa narodil v Pobedime 29. júla 1934 a po vysokoškolských štúdiách sa predovšetkým venoval ľadovému hokeju.
Po vzniku Slovenskej republiky bol v rokoch 1992 – 1997 prvým prezidentom Slovenského zväzu ľadového hokeja. Za jeho účinkovania slovenskí hokejisti zvíťazili na predolympijskej kvalifikácii v Sheffielde a obsadili skvelé 6. miesto na ZOH 1994 v Lillehammeri, pričom Slovensko vyhralo základnú skupinu.
J. Mitošinka bol riaditeľom Telový chovnej školy v Bratislave, trénerom Slovana Bratislava, reprezentácie Československa „B“ a Španielska . Viedol tiež hokejový klub FC Barcelona. Bol olympijským atašé česko – slovenskej výpravy pre letné olympijské hry 1992 v Barcelone a o dva roky neskôr prevzal od vtedajšieho predsedu MOV J.A. Samarancha Trofej k storočnici MOV. Inicioval založenie Slovenského hokejového klubu, ktorého oficiálnym sídlom bola naša obce. V čase svojho rozkvetu mal klub vyše 130 000 členov.

Hasiči z Pobedima zvíťazili v Maďarsku

Pobedimskí dobrovoľní hasiči vyhrali medzinárodnú súťaž v maďarskom meste Szeghalom. „Sme nesmierne šťastní, že v konkurencii zahraničných dobrovoľníkov sme napokon vyhrali,“ tešil sa z úspechu šéf pobedimských hasičov Martin Piškula, ktorý velil dvom úspešným družstvám z Pobedima, reprezentujúcim slovenské farby. Našim šikovným dobrovoľníkom sa darilo nielen v rozvíjaní hadíc a hasení, ale aj vo futbale, kde taktiež porazili konkurenciu a stali sa absolútnymi víťazmi. Medzinárodná hasičská súťaž sa konala v dňoch 13. až 23. júla t.r. a prilákala aj tamojšie médiá. Na súťaži sa zúčastnili 3 domáce družstva z mesta Szeghalom, hasiči z Poľska / mesto Lodz/ ,Českej republiky /mesto Toužim/ a Slovenskej obec Pobedim. Poďakovanie patri aj sponzorom ktorí nám zúčastniť hasičského tábora a súťaže. Sú to : Obec Pobedim, KJ Trade Jozef Kadlec, PD Pobedim, Rastislav Čop, Libor Miklánek a Peter Dudík - DUDIKOS.

Súťaž s historickou technikou v Rakoviciach

Za krásneho slnečného počasia sa konala dňa 4.júla 2009 v obci Rakovice okres Piešťany netradičná súťaž s hasičskou historickou technikou. Súťaž otvoril predseda DHZ Rakovice Ján Hevier a starosta obce Rakovice Dušan Daloš. Na súťaži sa zúčastnilo 11 hasičských družstiev z toho 9 mužských a 2 ženské družstvá. Súťažilo sa na dva pokusy, počítal sa lepší čas. Hasiči z Pobedima sa umiestnili na 5. mieste.
Po skončení súťaže boli všetky družstvá odmenené krásnym dreveným autíčkom, ktoré ručne vyrezal p. Ján David z Piešťan.

Kuchyňa starých materí na Myjave

V dňoch 20 a 21. júna t.r. sa L. Dudíková so svojou vnučkou Martinkou Dudíkovou a M. Mizeráková zúčastnili podujatia MYJAVA 2009 – jubilejný 50. Medzinárodný folklórny festival tradičnej kultúry a 5. Festival európskej tradičnej kultúry na ktorom sa predstavili a návštevníkom pripravili špeciality pobedimskej kuchyne ako pšenové opatance na slano a na sladko a zázvorníky.

Tohoročný Veľký deň detí bol síce daždivý, no napriek tomu sa uskutočnila podstatná časť avizovaného programu. Kynológovia sa predstavili so svojimi zverencami, kto mal záujem mal k dispozícii kolkáreň. Na blízko Zástodolí sa pod dozorom dospelých chytali ryby a na vodnej hladine sa mohli deti previesť člnom. Súťažilo sa v hode loptičkou, chytali sa rybičky, starší si mohli zastrieľať a menšie i väčšie deti sa pretekali vo vreci a s vajíčkom na lyžičke. Kreslilo sa na tvár i na výkresy. Účastníci súťaží si odniesli zaslúžené odmeny a mali zdarma občerstvenie. Lákali štvorkolky a predstavili sa i hasiči a to tak dospelí ako ich budúci nasledovníci. Hasiči, členovia Dobrovoľného hasičského zboru, najskôr hasili auto a potom za pomoci techniky vozidlo rozrezali. K dispozícii bol tiež stolnotenisový stôl s raketami a pre najmenších šmykľavky a tunel. V závere dňa detí vystúpili najmenšie cvičenky. Pre nepriaznivé počasie z programu museli byť vynechané atrakcie ako nafukovací hrad, trampolína, jazda na koni a nehral sa ani futbal.
Organizátormi podujatia pre deti bola Obec Pobedim a TJ Pobedim v spolupráci s miestnymi organizáciami. Moderátorom dňa detí bol Ivan Pätnický, ktorý sa postaral i hudbu. Veľký deň podporili viacerí sponzori za čo im patrí poďakovanie, rovnako ako všetkým, ktorí pri organizovaní a zabezpečovaní Veľkého dňa detí pomáhali.

Najmenší olympionici

Dňa 13. júna .t.r.sa v Považanoch uskutočnila olympiáda detí materských škôl. Na olympiáde sa zúčastnili so svojimi učiteľkami i deti našej materskej školy. I keď nezískali medaily pekne reprezentovali našu obec. Veď nie je podstatné zvíťaziť, ale zúčastniť sa.

Druhé miesto v súťaži mladých hasičov

V príjemnom prostredí Zemianskeho Podhradia sa 6. júna t.r. uskutočnilo okresné kolo súťaže mladých hasičov. Z našej obce súťažili dve družstvá a to Pobedim 1 a Pobedim 2. Družstvo Pobedim 1 sa umiestnilo z 10. družstiev na výbornom 2. mieste a Pobedim 2 obsadil 7. miesto. Súťažilo sa v disciplínach : útok CTIF, štafeta 400 metrov a útok s vodou. Po skončení súťaže a pred vyhlásením výsledkov Dobrovoľný hasičský zbor Pobedim prezentoval ukážku hasenia pevných látok s moderným hasičským vozidlom Mercedes Vario.

Divadelné predstavenie Kráska a zviera

V nedeľu 7. júna sa návštevníkom kultúrneho domu predstavili žiaci základnej školy hrou Kráska a zviera. Žiaci a pedagógovia školy ako aj ochotní spolupracovníci takto pokračovali v tradícii školských divadelných predstavení. Účasť bola väčšia ako v minulých rokoch, rovnako bola i vyššia úroveň predstavenia. Zaslúžili sa o to mladí herci predovšetkým Martin Holubec / Zviera / Klára Jankechová / Kráska/, Adriana Miklovičová / otec /, Barbora Košútová a Lívia Žitňanská / dcéry /. Solídne výkony podali i Kristína Dudíková a Denis Džikič ako aj ďalší účinkujúci.
Na divadelné dosky priviedli malých hercov Mgr. Janka Škanderová a Mgr. Jela Košútová. Maľba kulís bola dielom Jiřiho Škanderu.

Voľby do Európskeho parlamentu

Pobedimčania prejavili malý záujem o voľby do Európskeho parlamentu Podľa zápisnice volebnej komisie bola účasť nižšia ako celoslovenský priemer, konkrétne 16.58 %. Podľa výsledku volieb najviac hlasov získali kandidáti strany Smer / 57 / , druhé sa umiestnilo KDH /30 /, treťou úspešnou stranou bola SDKÚ / 23 / a štvrté bolo HZDS / 21 /.
